Why the Toucan?

We’re not just a pretty face.

It Lives in the Amazon

It Lives in the Amazon, Yet It Can “See the Forest.”

With our Amazon-focus, we wanted a symbol connected to the Amazon region of South America. Most Amazon rainforest creatures live IN the jungle, and hence can’t “see the forest for the trees.” We liked the idea that the toucan lives in and hops around the rainforest tree canopy—very intimate with the jungle—AND toucans occasionally fly above the trees to see the entire forest.

We live in the details on our clients’ Amazon seller accounts AND we also keep our eye on big picture goals.

It Values Relationship.
So Do We.

Per ornithologists, the toucan is loyal to its mate. These birds live in small flocks where they’ve been observed taking turns sitting on other toucans’ unhatched eggs. We view our clients as long-term partners for win-win engagements and mutual success.

Execution is very important, while relationship and support are key.

It Values Relationship
It's Unique

It’s Unique. So Are We.

Among other birds, toucans are distinct. Our founding approach has been building success by partnering with a limited number of high-quality brands that have potential for 7-8 digits of annual Amazon sales. Our resources and methods support this approach. We’re very results-driven but we’re also a more engaged, boutique experience for our clients; versus a large agency with many small accounts managed by lower-experienced reps or off-shore personnel.

Smaller agency delivering better
results! Unique.

It’s a Little Weird.
So Are We.

Freddie and his wife have four kids, dogs, chickens, and a koi pond; and in an average week he spends more miles on his bicycle than in his car. Eric and his wife have a son whom they’ve homeschooled and two cats who have not been homeschooled. Freddie enjoys painting. Eric’s pursuits include strategy board games, church, and cocktails. Freddie and Eric developed their relationship and vision for Toucan Advisors over chess boards in coffee shops. Though both live full-time in the Charlotte area, Freddie has a farm property in the foothills of the Blue Ridge NC mountains, and Eric has a mountain property in the middle of the Blue Ridge NC mountains — both share a dream of full-time mountain life one day. At 6’2”, Eric is actually the shorter Toucan Advisors co-founder.
